Genetics, archeological evidence, language, and unique traits demonstrate that Rhode Island Indians had pre-Columbian contact with Europeans.
The region, therefore, must be the Vinland of Leif Erickson.

The Voyage of Wave Cleaver, Inc. is proud to announce publication of a culminating work of some ongoing 35 years. It is a development of seven year old website < vinlandsite.com > and has much additional research included as well as a measure of academic oversight. We make no claim to "light" reading. It is a "working" book for the thinker and doer for consideration that the historical discovery of America demands a new outlook.
Included intact from the
website are the Vinland narratives, nearly absent in detail from other sources
in the English language or research works. Heretofore overlooked detail
embedded in the sagas enables newer assessments of Vinland itself and from
these ---:
Discovery
of a plausible site ensues and is more readily understood in the publication.
We discuss
this and several other related sites in detail.
The almost overwhelming
problem of actually proving this site to be Lief Erickson's Vinland we think
is accomplished and is developed from the unusual aspect of legacies left by
the original colonists - and within the local Indian Tribe.
The legacies are genetic and show as traces discovered over time by independent Archeologists whose work and papers are listed.
From these legacies a
closer examination of the local Native Americans discovers a wealth of
indicators recorded by historians but whose implications have been overlooked.
And we here demonstrate that these legacies had and have great import into the history of the Americas and North American life.
