Notes on the upgrade;

This type of presentation work on the Internet format presented many problems when it first commenced.  For the webmaster it might appear that the problem of font size for both screen reading and printing out were insurmountable.  The form had to be set in such a way that people with older models of computers would be able to read legible text on the screen and also avoid reams of paper in printing out, which we recommended.  We will now assume that there are enough advanced computers to allow a more flexible presentation.

All text will be in a universal type face and point size.

The name Leifur Eiricksson will be used throughout as the correct cultural motif of the better known Leif Eric(k)son except on the Index page to avoid "jarring" the new arrival's sensibilities.

Much was learned from the new novel, "I, Roger Williams" by Mary Lee Settle (pub.W.W. Norton Co. 2001).  This book is not for everyone but is a literary masterpiece which results from exemplary research.  I look at the work as factual while recognizing that, perhaps, while there might be errors, they probably are so inconsequential as to be irrevalent.  There are additions and a few corrections on the Roger Williams page as a result.

We realize that in collating the huge volume of information into this web, the reader might be perplexed at the wide variation in approaches to follow.  The opportunity to present the case to an intellectual society on January 10th of this year enforced re-organization and condensation the bare essentials, with the result that the talk on January 10th makes an excellent synopsis of the whole and also brings added emphasis to the factor of proof.

We welcome your responses and recommendations to this upgrade.  We have been overwhelmed with the spam problem and have installed an anti-spam program to ease the burden.  If you should respond, state on the subject line the opening words "WavePilot" so that we immediately recognize an important message for us.
